The Burgundy Bay Studio

This was an outstanding place for an extended stay while working in the Juneau area. The photos are very accurate as to the clean and cozy studio with an amazing view of Auke Harbor. You can literally lie in bed and watch the bald eagles fly around, or walk to the harbor in two minutes and watch the harbor seals float in the Bay. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe, even though it's a pretty active area with a brewery and bar nearby and a lot of activity at the harbor. Things really quieted down at a reasonable hour in the evenings though. The studio is right above the Glacier Highway, which is a major thoroughfare, and I sometimes was woken up by early morning traffic, especially when it was raining. But I took that as part of the charm of living on the water in a rainforest! The bald eagles woke me up, too!The apartment is very well equipped with kitchen stuff (no stove or oven though--hot plate, microwave, toaster oven, electric kettle, and coffee maker, with full-size fridge), the bed is super comfortable, the bathroom totally functional with tons of fluffy towels. Cable TV.Host Erin was very easy to communicate with, and she kept me well informed when minor construction issues came up during my stay, and answered all of my random questions. Bus service into Juneau or out to Mendenhall Glacier is just 2 and super easy. Auke Lake near the university campus is a great way to get out for a nearby walk in the forest. You won't be disappointed!

Exceptionally clean and had absolutely everything I needed for my stay. The coffee setup was fantastic, the bed was very comfortable, and the view of the harbor across the street was such a beautiful thing to wake up to every morning. The property is located off the highway, as other reviews have mentioned, but the hosts provide a white-noise machine. I’m an incredibly light sleeper, and the road noise honestly never kept me awake at all. Everything felt thoughtful, comfortable, and very well equipped. I would absolutely stay here again.

The property was exactly as advertised! Wonderful view of the harbor, immaculate, very comfortable, everything we needed was there. We would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Juneau.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Vrbo in Juneau, Alaska. The home was very clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The beds were very comfortable, and you simply can’t beat the breathtaking view of Auke Bay and the snow-capped mountains right from your window.The location was perfect, with several restaurants within walking distance. We especially loved Forbidden Peak Brewery, which offers a great selection of beers and delicious food.The only suggestion we would make is to provide dedicated parking for Vrbo guests, which would make the stay even more convenient. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay, and we would happily return on our next trip to Juneau!
